| Thursday: (the big day) Well this was the day we were going to see Charles perform. I started out by having breakfast (yes, the very good french toast) and then we wandered about, poking into shops, and such. (I cannot keep straight in my mind all the shops and stuff we went into, (others may) but suffice it to say for my account that it was many and varied (but didn't include nearly enough bookshops the first day, only 2 or so --one new, a Chapters (Canada's version of a Borders or Barnes and Noble) and one used (that I remember.) John was asleep for most of the day, but joined us later in our travels...meeting us in Chapters. He was recovering from some serious jet lag and overwork, plus he took the blue pill (cold medication for the night, instead of the day) not the red one. |
